Betty Rox originated from the islands of Belize and Jamaica. She is the 3rd Generation of Dancers and Choreographers in her family. Going back to her late cousin Bob Reneau, a renowned Choreographer who started one of the first dance companies in Belize. At a young age her family migrated to Los Angeles, CA. As she developed her passion for dance she trained in Modern, Jazz, Hip-Hop, African, Dancehall and Soca dance.
Betty Rox started her professional dance career at the age of 17, when she choreographed a Cheer-Dance routine for a national “Burger King” commercial. While incorporating her unique style of Clown-Krump dancing in her auditions, she gained the attention of several Choreographers and Directors. Which then gave her the opportunity to work with Choreographers; Fatima Robinson, Frank Gatson, Anthony Burrell, Lisette Bustamante, Shane Sparks, Darrin Henson, and JR Taylor. She is featured in several films, music videos, live performances and tours.
Betty Rox then began to focus her attention on pursuing a Choreography career. Her credits include Recording Artist; Jamie Foxx, Rihanna, Keri Hilson, Teairra Mari, and more. Due to her cultural background, she has always gravitated to artist from the Caribbean. She choreographed her first tour for Trinidad native "Ms Triniti" as the opening act for Sean Paul. Since then she has worked with Dancehall and Soca artist such as Beenie Man, Mr Vegas, Elephant Man & more.
Betty Rox is currently spreading her love for culture and dance with her sexy "Dancehall Heels" class & ""Soca Workout" class. These classes are a combination of the best of both worlds. Instructor Betty Rox takes you through a cultural experience. Blending movements from the Caribbean islands of Belize, Trinidad, Jamaica and more! This class was designed to bring out your inner wine!
