Saulius Urbietis

Saulius Urbietis was born in 1962. In the 1980s he graduated in Siauliai Juventus (12th grade) school. In the same year he entered the Siauliai Pedagogica Institute and in 1984 graduated with a Master’s Degree. Being 16 years old made the first violin. The art of violin was perfected by Siauliai Violin master Alejuna, he went to Riga to violin master Zimita, where he learned to produce an amber varnish and to varnish violins with amber varnish. In 1984, he went to Moscow to study Denis Jarovoy’s International Violin Making and Restoration. Denis Jorovoy teacher was Giuseppe Fiorini. In 1988 he graduated. In 1989, he continued to study in Warsaw, and since 1990 has worked at the Warsaw National Philharmonic. In 1998, he returned to Lithuania where he continues to perform violin violin and restoration works. He has already made over 300 violins, violins, cello and over 100 bows. ​
